Lewiston Morning Tribune Saturday, June 23, 1945 Death Strikes Twice In Blanchard Family Mrs. Deborah Blanchard, 74, 428 Fifth street, died at St. Joseph's hospital at 6:45 a.m. yesterday. Death was attributed to complications. Mrs. Blanchard passed away 24 hours after the death of her step-daughter, Mrs. Rebecca Ogdon [Ogden], at Portland. Mrs. Blanchard was born Feb. 17, 1871, at Clarinda, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hendershott. She was married to A. I. Blanchard at Plainview, Neb., in 1905. Mr. Blanchard died here five years ago. Survivors are four daughters and three sons: Mrs. C. C. Matter and Mrs. James Jones, both of Lewiston, Mrs. Irene Buzung, Los Angeles; Miss Josephine Brown, Chicago; Thomas C. Brown, Boise; Earl O. Brown, Everett, Wash.; Asa Loren Blanchard, with the Seabees in the south Pacific theater of war. Mrs. Ogdon's body will arrive from Portland Monday morning and a double funeral will be conducted Tuesday at 10 at the Brower-Wann chapel with the Rev. Thomas McCamanat as officiant. Interment will be at Normal Hill cemetery. |
