Lewiston Morning Tribune Wednesday, February 1, 1933 Einar B. Oddson Dies; Rites Held At Portland Einar B. Oddson, 69, well known resident of central Idaho during the last 20 years except for two years' residence at Portland, Ore., died there Thursday and was buried Saturday, it was learned last night. He suffered cancer of the stomach. Mr. Oddson resided here for three years and prior to that time farmed near Mohler and Craigmont on Nezperce prairie. Interment was at Lincoln Memorial cemetery at Portland. Mr. Oddson was born in Iceland in 1863. He came to America as a young man of 26, residing first in Canada and later moving to Bonners Ferry, where he lived for 12 years. Surviving Relatives. Surviving him are his wife, five sons, three daughters and nine grandchildren. The children are: Chester B. Oddson and F. T. Oddson of Lewiston, J. O. Oddson of Bonners Ferry, E. G. Oddson of Seattle, Elmer Oddson of Clarkston, Mrs. Rose Oswald and Mrs. O. C. Meyers of Portland, and Mrs. August Kerby of Dent. All of the children with the exception of J. O. Oddson and F. T. Oddson were at Portland for the serivices. |
