Lewiston Morning Tribune Tuesday, July 24, 1945 Native Of Northwest Is Taken By Death Mrs. Edith O'Connor, 51, native of the northwest, died at Kalispell, Mont., Friday at the home of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Aubrey O'Connor. Death was attributed to a heart ailment and came suddenly. Mrs. O'Connor was born at Palouse in November of 1893 and made her home at Lewiston for about 35 years until three years ago when she took up her residence at Portland. She had been at Kalispell two weeks when sricken. Survivors are her son, Sgt. Aubrey O'Connor, member of the army transportation command; two brothers and one sister, Albert Farmer, Portland; Everett Farmer, Nezperce, and Mrs. Veda Vorhees, Grandview, Wash.; also three nieces and three nephews, Anna Marie Farmer, Clare Farmer, Edith Farmer, Estol Farmer, all of Nezperce; Lester Ransom, in the armed service, and Jewell Ransom, Grandview. The body arrived here yesterday and was taken to the Vassar-Rawls chapel. Funeral arrangements are pending on the possible arrival of Sgt. O'Connor, stationed in India. |
