Lewiston Morning Tribune Wednesday, February 2, 1927 Funeral of Mrs. Morris Held Yesterday from Vassar Chapel; Rev. Somerville in Charge. Funeral services for the late Mrs. Elizabeth Bramlett Morris, who died at Missoula, Mont., last Sunday at the age of 77 years, were held from the Vassar chapel yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Morris was well known in Lewiston and vicinity, having lived in this country for many years. Interment was made in Normal Hill cemetery where her husband, Mason Morris, who died in 1925, is buried. Mrs. Morris was born in Tennessee, December 21, 1849 and was married in 1873 to Mason Morris. She was a devout member of the Congregational church and was known as a woman of high Christian character. she is survived by two brothers, two sisters, five sons and two daughters. The brothers are John F. Bramlett of Lapwai and Charles A. Bramlett of College Place, Walla Wall; sisters, Mrs. Seagrist, formerly of Lewiston, and Mrs. Dora Woods of Walla Walla. Sons are Ernest T. and Frank, of Missoula, John F. of Plains, Mont., Melvin of Green Acres, Spokane; and Clarence of Calgary, Alta. Daughters are Mrs. Ida C. Bechtol of Smith's Ferry, Idaho, and Miss Dora Morris of Spokane. The Rev. D. J. W. Somerville was in charge of the services and Miss Mona Quilliam sang several appropriate songs. |
