The Spokesman-Review, Spokane, Wash. Tuesday Morning, January 11, 1916 Pioneer Woman Of Waha Buried Miss Nettie Moore Taught School in Lewiston Thirty Years Ago. Kin Of Late U. S. Senator Was Niece of H. M. Teller of Colorado Lewiston, Idaho, Jan. 10. The funeral of Miss Nettie Moore, a pioneer resident and homesteader of the upper Waha prairie, was held from the Vassar chapel in this city today, she having died at her ranch home Saturday night, aged 69. Miss Moore taught school in this city 30 years ago and shortly after took up a homestead near Lake Waha, where, until his death she was visited each summer by her uncle, the late Senator Henry M. Teller of Colorado. Miss Moore is survived by a brother, Fred Moore of this city, and two sisters residing elsewhere. |
