Deaths Of Two Former Residents One Day Apart

A mother and son, former Lewiston residents, died one day apart at Spokane.

LaVern Orin Moe, 40, succumbed to a heart attack at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Owen M. Moe, Sunday at 1 p.m. He was not married.

His mother, Agusta Anna Moe, 78, died of infirmities at a Spokane Hospital yesterday morning. She had been hospitalized for several days and was not aware of the death of her son.

The family lived at Lewiston from 1936 to 1956.

Surviving are her husband, Owen Moe, at the family's Spokane home; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Wood, Spokane; five sons, Melford at Minneapolis, Minn.; Marvin at Colton, Calif.; Willy and Orlin Lewiston and Donald at La Grande, Ore. 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for both will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Normal Hill Cemetery here with the Rev. Nels C. Carlson, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating.
