Lewiston Morning Tribune Friday, June 1, 1951 Loren W. Miller Is Victim Of Cancer Loren W. (Pete) Miller, 56, an employee of Potlatch Forests, Inc., at Lewiston since 1927, died at 9:45 last night at St. Joseph's hospital as the result of cancer. Mr. Miller suffered an attack of pneumonia two months ago. He was a patient at the hospital about six weeks and was released, but returned Tuesday to undergo surgery. He was born at Harrington, Wash., July 20, 1894, moving to Bonners Ferry when still a boy. He lived at Bonners Ferry until coming here in 1927. Mr. Miller was married at Spokane in 1921. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethyl Miller, Lewiston Orchards; two sons, Gerald L. Miller, a student at the University of Idaho, and Norman B. Miller, Lewiston; two daughters, Mrs. Darwin Craner, Walnut Creek, Calif., and Mrs. Wayne Hayden, Spokane; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Miller, Seattle; a sister, Mrs. E. E. Porter, Seattle; two brothers, Chester Miller, The Dalles, Ore., and W. N. Miller, Lafayette, Calif., and four granddaughters. Funeral arrangements are pending. |
