Lewiston Morning Tribune Friday, November 25, 1927 Alexander McDonald Passes Was Stricken by Paralysis About Two Months Ago Alexander McDonald, a resident of Clarkston since last fall, passed away last night about midnight at the family residence. Mr. McDonald was stricken with paralysis about two months ago and had since been in failing health. He is survived by a widow and one son in Clarkston with other relatives in Canada.
Lewiston Morning Tribune Alex. McDonald Dies Camas Prairie Pioneer Passes Away at Home in Clarkston - Leaves Many Kin. Alexander McDonald, 67, pioneer of the Grangeville section on Camas prairie, and in recent years a resident of Canada and Clarkston, died yesterday at the family home, Twelfth and Maple streets, Clarkston, of complications incident to old age. Mr. McDonald was born in Illinois and came west with his parents when a young boy. With brothers and sisters he settled on Camas prairie in early days, and resided there most of his life, making his home in Clarkston only for the last year. Mr. McDonald is survived by his widow, Mrs. Anna McDonald; three sons, Francis, of Clarkston, and James and Bernard, in Canada; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Brady, Canada, and Mrs. Lorella Logan, in Iowa. Five brothers also survive; Edward, South Dakota; Joseph, Grangeville; Frank, Los Angeles; John L., Minneapolis, and James, Canada, also three sisters, Mrs. Margarett Newell, Pullman; Mrs. Lucy Gallagher, Canada, and Mrs. Mary Hunt, Chicago. The remains are at the Vassar chapel in Lewiston awaiting the completion of funeral arrangements. |
