Lewiston Morning Tribune Friday, December 24, 1965 Infirmities Take Hattie McConkey Miss Hattie McConkey, 85, daughter of an early-day rector of the Episcopal Church of the Nativity and a retired Lewiston dressmaker, died at 1:30 yesterday afternoon at her home, 516 16th St. Death was due to the infirmities of age. Miss McConkey was the daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. J. D. McConkey. Her father was rector of the Lewiston church from 1903 to 1904. Miss McConkey was born Jan. 22, 1880, at Walla Walla. Her only survivor is a sister, Mrs. Isobel E. Grace, with whom she made her home. The funeral will be at 2 Monday afternoon at Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home, with the Rev. Fr. Peter Stretch, pastor of the Episcopal Church, as officiant. Burial will be at Normal Hill Cemetery. |
