Lewiston Morning Tribune Saturday, May 6, 1939 Bradley H. McCabe Is Taken By Death Bradley H. McCabe, 45, owner of the Lewiston Electric Supply Co., 700 Main street, and a resident of Lewiston 40 years, died at 2:30 yesterday afternoon at St. Joseph's hospital of pneumonia. He had been ill several days of influenza at his home and was taken to the hospital yesterday morning when his condition became grave. A native of Piqua, O., born Feb. 12, 1894, with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. James H. McCabe, he came to Lewiston when five years old. He received his elementary and high school education here. He was prominently identified with the advancement of athletics in the Lewiston area for many years and achieved prominence as a baseball player and as a bowler. He served on committees for the welfare of Lewiston and was active in Boy Scout work in this community. Mr. McCabe, whose home was at 708 Third street, is survived by his wife, Mrs. Susie McCabe; his daughter, Lorraine, and his sister, Mrs. Margaret Sanders, Lewiston. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 12:30 from the Vassar-Rawls chapel, the Rev. Calvin Barkow officiating. At the graveside in Normal Hill cemetery the Elks lodge will have charge. |
