Lewiston Morning Tribune Sunday, July 21, 1929 Godfrey M'Allister Dead Well Known Lewiston Resident, Victim of Kidney Disorder. Godfrey McAllister, 60, resident of Lewiston since 1918 and former Anatone farmer, died at his home at 607 Snake River avenue last night at 7:30 o'clock. Bright's disease caused his death. Mr. McAllister was well known in the Anatone and Lewiston sections. He resided at Anatone from 1904 until 1918, when he removed his family to this city, withdrawing from agricultural operations there. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Margaret McAllister and eight children, all at home. They are Harry McAllister, Hazel McAllister, John McAllister, James McAllister, Gordon McAllister, Charlotte McAllister, Elsie McAllister and Leota McAllister. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10 o'clock from the Brower-Wann funeral parlors, where they body has been taken. Interment will be in Anatone cemetery. No pastor had been selected for the funeral last night.
Lewiston Morning Tribune Funeral of G. M'Allister Services Held Here for Former Anatone Farmer - Burial There. Funeral services for Godfrey McAllister, retired Anatone farmer, who passed away at his home here Saturday night, were held yesterday morning at 10 o'clock at the Brower-Wann chapel. The Rev. Chester A. Snyder of the First Christian church gave the sermon. Mrs. A. A. Shackleton sang several songs. The body was taken to Anatone for burial and short services were held at the grave there. |
