Lewiston Morning Tribune Saturday, January 4, 1930 York Martin Passes On Well Known Kendrick Citizen Had Many Friends, Relatives Here. York Martin, 37, well known resident of the Kendrick region, died yesterday afternoon at a local hospital from carcinoma of the liver from which he has long suffered. The body is resting at the Vassar chapel pending funeral arrangements. Born in Wisconsin, Mr. Martin came west with his family. He married Miss Helen Keeler of Kendrick, who survives him along with two children, Billie Martin, 10, and Dorothy Martin, 22 months. An infant child died only recently of pneumonia when the mother brought it to the hospital here to cheer the father in his sickness. The mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Martin, Lewiston; five brothers, Floyd and Calvin, Lewiston; Louis, Orofino; James, Burns, Ore.; and Tony, Tacoma; and two sisters, Mrs. Sorseth, Lewiston, and Mrs. Rosie Dickeson, Burns, Ore., also survive. |
