Lewiston Teller Lewiston, Idaho, May 29, 1890 Died: - At her home in this city, Sunday, May 25, 1890, Miss Julia Lydon aged nineteen years, eight months and twenty-one days. The serious illness of Miss Lydon which we announced last week terminated in her death on Sunday evening. Death, when it comes to the old and decrepit, brings with it a pall of gloom, but when it visits the young and the hopeful, and cuts them off from life, who are just beginning to enjoy its promise and hopes, it seems to fall with a greater sorrow. For nearly two years Miss Lydon has been fighting bravely against that dread disease, consumption. With hope for her relief she spent part of last year at San Francisco, but the best of attendance, the kindness of friends, and the loving care of parents and brothers could not stay the disease that slowly but surely sapped away her young life. The funeral was held at the Catholic church Tuesday, May 27, and was largely attended by the friends. Kindness, sympathy and love did all that could be done to heal the wounded hearts left sorrowing.
Lewiston Teller Card Of Thanks: - Mr. M. L. Lydon and family wish to extend their thanks to the many kind friends who tendered assistance and sympathy in their recent bereavement. |
