James Herbert died Sunday evening at the residence of his father, Dr. J. M. Herbert, in Tammany. Mr. Herbert came here about a year ago from California and had been in poor health for several years. He was 41 years of age at the time of his death and was the oldest son of Dr. Herbert, who has the sympathy of a large circle of friends in his bereavement. The funeral took place Monday afternoon, the interment being at the Tammany cemetery. Deceased was an uncle of little Jessie Wadsworth, whose untimely death was chronicled last week.
