One Son, Four Daughters and Fourteen Grandchilden Survive

Gifford, March 9. - Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Hayes, 69, died at her home here this afternoon after a brief illness. The deceased was born May 5, 1859, at Danville, Ind., moved to Iowa in 1869 and on Aug. 30, 1879, was united in marriage to William P. Hayes. They came to Idaho in 1903 and located at Gifford, where Mr. Hayes, up to the time of his death, was engaged in farming.

One son and four daughters survive. Everett Hayes, Kelso, Wash.; Mrs. Eva Clark, Ericson, Neb.; Mrs. Clara Pilgrim, Lewiston Orchards; Mrs. Lottie Tiede, Strathmore, Alta.; and Mrs. Minnie Clark, of this place. Fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.

The date for the funeral has not been set, pending word from the daughter at Strathmore.
