Henry Hageman Dead.

Was Resident of Lewiston Country Since 1883 - Funeral Tuesday.

Henry Hageman, resident of the Lewiston country since 1883, died yesterday morning at his home in Lewiston Orchards from heart trouble. Mr. Hageman had been in poor health for the past several weeks but was in his usual health Saturday evening and joined with Mrs. Hageman in entertaining neighbors. Yesterday morning about 2:30 o'clock Mrs. Hageman was awakened by her husband's unusual breathing and immediately commenced the application of home remedies, but he passed away without regaining consciousness.

Mr. Hageman was about 58 years of age, being born at Quincy, Ill. He came to the Lewiston country in 1883 and after spending a short time in Lewiston, removed to a ranch near Uniontown, where he was engaged in farming for several years. He returned to Lewiston about 15 years ago and for many years held the position of baggage agent with the Northern Pacific and later the Camas Prairie Railroad company at the passenger depot. He resigned his position with the railroad company about four or five years ago and for a period conducted an express business in the city. He removed to the Lewiston Orchards to reside about two years ago.

Mr. Hageman was a gentleman of fine character and enjoyed the very high regard of a wide circle of friends extending throughout the entire region. The funeral will be conducted Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock from the Catholic church.
