Myrtle, Dec. 14th - Special: Last evening at about half past eight o'clock Edward C. Gillette died at his home on the Cottonwood. The deceased is 78 years old and has been suffering for some time from Brights disease. He has been living here for the past four years and most of that time has had charge of the post-office. The burial will take place at the Gifford cemetery.
