Lewiston Morning Tribune Friday, July 2, 1909 Death of Mrs. Giffin The Aged Lady Passed Away Yesterday Morning. Mrs. Mary Giffin died yesterday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George White, in East Lewiston. Mrs. Giffin was 76 years of age and her death was preceded by that of her husband, John Giffin, about a year ago. For the past several months she has been a sufferer from dropsy but was able to be about the yard Wednesday evening. She was highly esteemed by all acquaintances and was a prominent member of the W. R. C. The funeral will be conducted this morning at 10 o'clock.
Lewiston Morning Tribune Funeral Yesterday Remains of Mrs. Mary Giffen Are Laid to Rest. The funeral of the late Mrs. Mary Giffen was conducted yesterday morning at 10 o'clock at the home of Mrs. George White in East Lewiston by the Rev. George W. Hunter, of the Congregational church. The services were largely attended, many of whom were pioneers with whom the deceased had been intimately associated for many years. The floral offerings were abundant and most beautiful, showing the high esteem in which Mrs. Giffen was held by her friends. |
