Lewiston Morning Tribune Tuesday, January 2, 1951 Elva Ida Follett, 81, School Teacher, Dead Miss Elva Ida Follett, 81, pioneer north central Idaho school teacher and an early-day graduate of the University of Idaho at Moscow, died at 1:35 yesterday afternoon at her home, 430 14th St. Death was due to the infirmities of age. Miss Follett was born Sept. 7, 1869, in Newton county, Mo., and moved to Genesee in 1880. She taught school at Genesee until 1908, when she moved to Lenore to accept a teaching position. She was on the Orofino school faculty from 1916 until 1930. She returned to Genesee from 1930 to 1932. In 1932 she moved to Lewiston. Miss Follett was a member of the Christian church and active in the work of the Women's Christian Temperance union at Lewiston. The only known survivors are several nieces and nephews. The body is at the Brower-Wann funeral home. Arrangements are pending.
