Lewiston Morning Tribune Saturday, June 22, 1918 Mrs. Anne Dill Dead. Pioneer of Lewiston Country Passed Away Last Evening. Mrs. Anne Dill, pioneer of the Lewiston country, passed away last evening at 7:30 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Dubuc, her illness developing only yesterday morning. Mrs. Dill was about 84 years of age and came to Lewiston country in 1879, the family home first being established in the Asotin section. Her husband passed away in Asotin about 35 years ago and about 20 years ago Mrs. Dill removed to Lewiston to reside. For the past several years she has stayed quite closely to her home. Mrs. Dill enjoyed the high regard of a wide circle of friends. She was the mother of nine children, six of whom survive, they being: Mrs. Dubuc, Lewiston; John Dill, Lewiston; Dan J. Dill, Bellingham; Mrs. R. A. Campbell, Asotin; Bryan Dill, San Francisco; Mrs. J. N. Dunne, Portland. The funeral arrangements will not be made until today. |
