Lewiston Morning Tribune Friday, August 14, 1925 Calvin Davis Killed Former Gifford Man Victim of Truck Accident in Montana. Gifford, Aug. 13. - Calvin Davis, a native of the Gifford prairie, lost his life yesterday afternoon in a truck accident near Shelby, Montana. No details of the tragedy have been learned by Gifford relatives, but it is known he was hauling pipe for an oil company. He has been living there with his family for the past three years, having gone from Gifford. The body is being brought back to Gifford for burial, and will arrive here tomorrow night, accompanied by his widow and two brothers, Raymond and Charles, who went to Spokane this afternoon to meet Mrs. Davis and the body. The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at the Gifford Methodist church. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Charles Minden, Lapwai; and Mrs. Rolla Parrott, Gifford; and three brothers, Raymond, Charles and Lawrence, all of Gifford. |
