Lewiston Morning Tribune Tuesday, March 14, 1922 P. H. Clark Passes On Resident of Gifford for 21 Years - Had Been Telephone Operator. Gifford, March 13. - P. H. Clark, for many years telephone operator at this place, passed away Friday from influenza and was buried today in the Odd Fellows cemetery here. The deceased was born in Tennessee June 4, 1863. He came to Oregon in the year 1883 and resided there until 1900 when he removed to Colfax, Wash. In 1901 he came to Gifford and has lived here ever since. He was married in 1904 and is survived by his wife and three children. Mr. Clark had been in charge of all the telephone work in this community and is well known in this section where he enjoyed the friendship of all who knew him. |
