Lewiston Morning Tribune Sunday, October 29, 1911 Obituary - Jacob H. Brutzman. Jacob H. Brutzman was born January 5, 1848, in Lucerne county, Pennsylvania, and departed this life on October 26, 1911, at the family home, Sixteenth street, after an illness extending over a period of three months. He was married on January 7, 1871, to Julia E. Sanders, at Binghamton, N. Y., to whom six children were born, all of whom survive him, they being: John, Ed and Homer Brutzman of Lewiston, and Harry Brutzman of Caplinger Mills, Mo.; Mrs. O. F. Madison of Jerry, Wash; Mrs. R. H. Powell, Kildare, Okla.; also two sisters and one brother: Mrs. M. E. Stiner, Payette, Ida.; Mrs. Emma Stans, Nanama, Pa., John Brutzman, Cass county, Mo. In 1877 Mr. Brutzman and his family moved to Cedar county, Mo., and in 1903 they moved to Lewiston. At the age of 22 he professed Jesus Christ as his Savior from sin. Since living in Lewiston he has been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. He was a good husband, a kind and loving father and a true friend to all mankind. He believed in doing unto others as he would have others do unto him. He leaves a host of friends, as was evidenced by the many beautiful floral offerings. The funeral was held at the home, conducted by Rev. C. W. Williams of the Methodist church. Interment was in the Lewiston cemetery. Card of Thanks.
