Lewiston Morning Tribune Saturday, April 22, 1939 Culdesac Pioneer Called By Death Mrs. Lily May Blewett, 57, Culdesac, died yesterday morning at 3:30 at St. Joseph's hospital. She was a resident of Culdesac for the last 42 years. Mrs. Blewett was a member of the Rebekah lodge 35 years and also a member of the grange. Her husband, John L. Blewett, died in January of 1934. She is survived by six sons, Richard and Rex Blewett, Kendrick; Milford and Pierce Blewett, Gifford; Aaron Blewett, Moscow, and Nye Blewett, Clarkston; eight daughters, Mrs. Harry Ruddell and Mrs. Arla Coffland, Gifford; Mrs. Charles Calkins, Mrs. Hollis Dunham and Mrs. Ralph White, Culdesac; June Blewett, Orofino; Mrs. Kenneth Hoduffer and Mrs. Ben Cook, Genesee; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. George Franks, Myrtle, and three brothers, Earnest Peer, Wilmington, Calif.; Sherman Peer, Lewiston, and Alec Peer, Portland. Funeral services will be held at the Gifford Christian church tomorrow afternoon at 2:30, the Rev. Gray, Kendrick, officiating. Interment will be at the I. O. O. F. cemetery, Gifford. |
