Lewiston Morning Tribune Tuesday, November 3, 1908 Death of Mrs. Billings Pioneer Lewiston Lady Passed Away Last Night. Mrs. T. S. Billings, a highly respected pioneer resident of Lewiston, passed away at 8:30 o'clock last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. B. Morris, death being due to cancer of the stomach. The aged lady had been gradually failing for some time and a few days ago her sister, Mrs. Fox, of Astoria, Oregon, was summoned to her bedside. Mrs. Billings was born in Toronto, Canada, and was in her seventy-first year. She was united in marriage in 1855 at Niagara, New York, to T. S. Billings, who survives her. In 1862 the couple moved to California and in 1870 to Lewiston, since which time they had resided here. Their only child is Mrs. Morris. The deceased was a life-long member of the Presbyterian church. The arrangements for the funeral will be made today and announcement will appear later. |
