Lewiston Morning Tribune Tuesday, June 12, 1900 Death of Miss Maggie Barton. Miss Maggie Barton died last evening at 6:30 o'clock at her parent's residence on C. Street. She had only been ill a few days, having been stricken with heart trouble Friday evening. Her health had not been good of late and notwithstanding the best of medical attention and all the care and consideration that a loving family could bestow, she was called away. The deceased was 24 years of age and born in Indiana, but was reared in Lewiston, having lived here for sixteen years. Her death, just as she entered upon the threshold of beautiful womanhood, is indeed a sad blow to her family and friends. Patient, kind and cheerful, her tender regard for others will ever be a source of keen appreciation of this good and Christian young lady who has been suddenly called to her heavenly Father. No arrangements have as yet been made for the funeral but the announcement will be made in tomorrow morning's Tribune. |
