Lewiston Teller Lewiston, Idaho, April 16, 1896 Louis Allen, a native of Switzerland, 28 years of age, died in this city on Thursday last. He was an exemplary citizen and had been in this city for about ten years. He was in the full vigor of young manhood when he contracted blood-poison from a slight injury to his toe, from paring his toe-nail. After some neglect he sought medical aid but the danger was not known till he was beyond recovery. He submitted to an amputation but that treatment was too late to save his life. A brother of this man was blown up and killed at the time of the Annie Faxon explosion on Snake river. Mr. Allen has no known relatives in this country. |
