Lewiston Morning Tribune Monday, December 29, 1919 Mrs. Wes Akers Dead Was Pioneer of Lewiston Section - Funeral Today The funeral of Mrs. Wes Akers, whose death occurred Saturday, will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon from the Vassar chapel. The deceased was a pioneer of this section, having come to Lewiston in 1878 with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. John Giffin. She was united in marriage with Mr. Akers in 1882 and five children were born to them. These children and Mr. Akers survived her. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. George White of Lewiston and Mrs. Hughes of Belmont, Wash. Mrs. Akers was 61 years old and was born at Albany, N. Y. |
