Lewiston Morning Tribune Wednesday, Sept. 27, 1950 David H. Young, 84, Passes At Kamiah Kamiah, Sept. 26 - David H. Young, 84, retired farmer at Kamiah, died today at 4:07 a.m., at St. Joseph's hospital at Lewiston, after an illness of several years. He was born at Lexington, Iowa, Feb. 14, 1866, and lived in Canada and Washington before moving to Orofino in 1922, where he made his permanent home. In 1894 he married May Gibbs at Olds, Alberta, Canada. She died Nov. 14, 1907. Survivors include a son, Orland Young of Orofino; a brother, Alex Young of Oregon; and a sister, Mrs. Nora Chapman of Moscow. The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Brower-Wann chapel at Lewiston, and burial will be at Normal Hill cemetery. |
