Spokane Daily Chronicle Friday., Dec. 8, 1967 Bess Williams' Rites Tomorrow Lewiston, Idaho - Funeral services will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Vassar-Rawls Chapel for Mrs. Bess M. Williams, 84, who died Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital. The Rev. E. Paul Hovey will officiate and burial will be in Normal Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Williams was born Aug. 5, 1883, to Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Ross at Pendleton, Ore. She married Davis Ryan at Colfax in 1902 and they homesteaded near Hay, Wash. In 1929 they moved to Colfax and in 1931 to Lewiston. Mr. Ryan died in 1938, and she married Frank Williams in 1939. He died in 1963. Survivors include three daughters, Delma Hardy, Bothell, Wash.; Beatrice Shellman, Spokane, and Barbara Seeten, Lewiston; two sons, Harry Ryan, Warren, Mich., and James Ryan, Portland, Ore., 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Phyllis Ryan, died in 1949. |
