J. J. Vernon [sic], Prospector, Dead After Long Illness

James J. Vrenon, 73, formerly of Grangeville, died at St. Joseph's hospital at 9:30 last night after a five=month illness. Death was attributed to complications. Mr. Vrenon was a native of Texas, born Jan. 27, 1872. He prospected in the mining areas of Idaho county several years before coming to Lewiston. He leaves no known relatives.

The body is at Vassar-Rawls chapel with funeral arrangements pending.

Vrenon Funeral - Funeral services for J. J. Vrenon will be conducted this morning at 10 from the Vassar-Rawls chapel. The Rev. P. Malcolm Hammond will officiate and interment will be at Normal Hill cemetery.
