Mrs. Minnie Tuomi Succumbs To Illness

Winchester, June 26 - Mrs. Minnie Tuomi, 62, operator of the Lakeview hotel here the last five years, died at 9:30 this morning at Our Lady of Consolation hospital at Cottonwood. She had been hospitalized since June 18 as the result of a stroke.

Mrs. Tuomi was a native of Finland, born Sept. 1, 1888. She had lived at Orofino ten years prior to coming to Winchester where she operated the Rex hotel.

Mrs. Tuomi was married to John Carlof of Bellingham, Wash., in 1906. After his death she was married to Viano Tuomi, whom she divorced 17 years later.

A daughter, Mrs. Catherine Bonner, Boville, and one grandson survive. Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at the Vassar-Rawls funeral home, Lewiston.
