Retired Herder Succumbs At 78

Louis O. Tugel, 78, of 118 18th St., a retired sheepherder, died at 7:30 a.m. yesterday at St. Joseph's Hospital. He had been ill since Sept. 19.

Mr. Tugel, who was known as Cache Creek Curly, came to Idaho in 1932 from Colorado. He herded sheep for a number of years for the Blankenship Sheep Co. in the Snake River Canyon.

He was born March 3, 1884, in Missouri. He had never married.

He leaves no known survivors.

The committal service will be held today at 3:30 p.m. at Normal Hill Cemetery. Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home is in charge.
