Southwick, Idaho - John A. Stump, pioneer of Idaho, died near Southwick last week after an illness covering about three years. He was born in St. Joseph county, Indiana, in 1860. Mr. Stump married Miss Mary Cheatham in 1879 in Missouri, and lived at that state until 1885, when they moved to Kansas, remaining there until 1889. In 1894 they came west to Idaho and settles on the Potlach ridge, where they have lived ever since. The deceased leaves a wife, three sons, Allen Stump of North Yakima, Wash., Peter Stump of Southwick and Will Stump, and two daughters, Mrs. Dora Longtaig of Moler, Idaho, and Mrs. Jessie Hepler of Southwick.
