Lewiston Morning Tribune Fri., Sept. 15, 1950 Clarkston and Asotin County news section Mrs. Nettie Smurr Passes At Age 85 Mrs. Nettie M. Smurr, 85, died last night at 5:30 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. Ray Johnson, 1947 8th St., after a lengthy illness. Born Aug. 25, 1865, at Sac City, Iowa, Mrs. Smurr lived in Iowa and California and spent a year at Missoula before coming to Clarkston five years ago. She was a member of an Iowa Methodist church and also of an Iowa Eastern Star chapter. Survivors include two sons, H. L. Smurr of Sacramento, Calif., and G. L. Smurr of Clarkston and a brother, Jesse E. Davis, Seattle, also three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 2 at Merchant's chapel, with the Rev. Erwin G. Ranton officiating. Burial will be at Normal Hill cemetery, Lewiston. |
