Mrs. Thomas Peas Succumbs At 89

Mrs. Thomas (Alice Sigler) Peas, 89, the widow of a Lenore farmer, died yesterday morning at 12:30 of the infirmities of age. She had been living with a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Len J. Raschka, 1901 17th Ave.

Mrs. Peas had been in failing health the last six months. She had married Peas March 1, 1888, at Genesee. He had died in 1955.

She was born June 21, 1873, at Sacramento, Calif. She had moved to Genesee in 1881, living there until 1902. She had spent the next 45 years at Lenore and in 1947 had moved to Lewiston.

Surviving are two other daughters, Mrs. Mary Benesch of Spokane and Mrs. Esther Leander of San Francisco; three sons, Richard Pease (the sons added the "e" to the spelling) of Lewiston, William of Phoenix and Louis of Inchelium, Wash.; three sisters, Mrs. Belle Brigham of Salem, Ore., Mrs. Minnie Brigham of Hamilton, Mont., and Mrs. Margaret Huntley of Philomath, Ore.; and 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Brower-Wann Chapel, with Selma House in charge and under auspices of the Undenominational Christian Church. Burial will be at Normal Hill Cemetery, with Brower-Wann Funeral Home making arrangements.
