Lewiston Morning Tribune Tues., Nov. 7, 1944 James P. Matlock, 44, Dead From Pneumonia James Preston Matlock, 44, floor manager for Lorenz garage since 1935, died of pneumonia at 6:45 last night at St. Joseph's hospital. He became ill Friday and entered the hospital yesterday morning. Mr. Matlock was born at Nezperce on Sept. 17, 1900, and had lived in Lewiston since 1923. He was married on Aug. 7, 1934, to the former Grace Crossett. Before joining the staff of the Lorenz garage, he was employed for seven years by the Evergreen garage and previously by the Charles O. Bennett garage. He is survived by his wife, one brother, Malven, Clarkston, one sister, Mrs. Verna Fiest, Portland, and two nieces and two nephews. Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced by Brower-Wann mortuary. |
