Wallace Masterson, Area Pioneer, Passes
Wallace L. Masterson, 88, who came to the Nezperce country in 1895 and homesteaded there died at Summerville home yesterday morning at 10:50. He had been at the home for six months and before that lived at Lapwai for 14 years. During his active life he farmed in the Nezperce area.
Mr. Masterson was born at Cars, Mo., Nov. 26, 1863 and was a member of the Christian church. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Dollie Hamilton, Lapwai and a sister, Mrs. E. F. Anderson, Clarkston.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. from the Vassar-Rawls chapel with the Rev. Marvin Smith officiating. Burial will be at Normal Hill cemetery.
