Forest Pioneer Dies at Orofino

Lewiston, Idaho - Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Madden, 83, who died at an Orofino hospital, will be Saturday afternoon at Vassar Ralws Chapel wit the Rev. Nels Carlson officiating. Burial will be in Normal Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Madden was born Aug. 12, 1881, at Milnor, N.D., and moved to Forest, Idaho, with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elias Nelson, as a child.

She married James Madden at Lewiston in 1910 and they moved to a ranch on the Snake River, where they lived 37 years before moving to Lewiston. He died in 1960.

Survivors include a son, Chester Coburn, Spokane; a brother, Edward Nelson, Deary, and sisters, Mrs. Alice Porter, Boise, Mrs. Julia Reeves and Mrs. Adena Provost, both of Lewiston.
