Lewiston Morning Tribune Tues., April 20, 1948 Samuel Lockridge Dead At Clarkston Samuel Lockridge, 84, died Sunday night at 5:30 at the Clarkston clinic and hospital where he had been a patient for two hours. Death was attributed to a heart attack. He was born at Warren county, Iowa, Nov. 9, 1863. He married Eliza C. Dilley, Dec. 9, 1891, at Cumberland, Iowa. They came to Craigmont in 1900 and moved to Clarkston in 1910. Mrs. Lockridge died Oct. 9, 1927. He married for the second time Feb. 12, 1932, to Susie Dilley Church. He was a member of the IOOF lodge and a communicant of the Christian church. He is survived by his wife, Susie, Clarkston; two daughters, Mrs. Clara Fredenberg, White Fish, Mont., a step-son, Pearl Church, Des Moines, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. W. S. St. Clair, Des Moines, and Mrs. F. H. Meader, Los Angeles, Calif. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 from Merchant's chapel, with the Rev. Ralph Helseth officiating. Burial will be at Vineland cemetery. |
