James F. Hancock

Lewiston, Idaho, April 1 - James Franklin Hancock, 77, a retired farmer, died yesterday at his home following an illness of six years.

He was born September 4, 1876, at Springdale, Ark., and moved west in 1901 to Nezperce, Idaho. He lived at Nezperce and McCall until 1926 when he came to Lewiston. He married at McCall May 6, 1917, to the former Lena Douglas, and was a member of the Christian church.

Besides his widow, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Anna Sourre, Shelton, Wash., and Mrs. Eva Shoemaker, St. Maries, Idaho; a sister, Rhoda White, Springdale, and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be tomorrow at 2 at Brower-Wann funeral home, the Rev. Paul Deane Hill officiating. Burial will be at Normal Hill cemetery.
