Death Of Pioneer Miner
Thomas McGuerien, Aged 82, Died at County Hospital
Thomas N. Guerien, a pioneer of Idaho, died last night at the county hospital, aged about 83 years. Mr. Guerien first came to Idaho in 1852 and operated as a packer in the Boise basin. He went to Pierce City with the gold rush in the early 60s where he engaged in packing and for many years was engaged in the stock business in Waha county. He was familiarly known by friends as Tommy Grit, and was closely identified with much of the early history of central Idaho.
The funeral arrangements have not been completed.
