J. Leslie Gillett Is Taken By Death

Well Known Central Idaho Farmer, Who Retired Number of Years Ago, Succumbs to Stroke.

After an illness of four months, following a stroke of paralysis, J. Leslie Gillett passed away yesterday morning at 9 o'clock at the home of his daughter-in-law, Mrs. H. L. Gillett, 909 Tenth avenue.

Mr. Gillett, 86, was a native of New York, and as a young man moved west to Nebraska and several years later located at Cheney, Wash. Thirty years ago with his family he took up farming in Tammany, operating there until failing health necessitated his retirement. He was well known in central Idaho.

Leaves Two Sons

He is survived by two sons, Bernie Gillett, living in Canada, and Lee Gillett, Wenatchee; also 13 grandchildren, three of them, Leslie, Betty and Robert being children of Mrs. H. L. Gillett.

The body is resting at the Brower-Wann chapel, where funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock, the Rev. Dr. L. O. McEwen officiating. Interment will be in the family plot in Normal Hill cemetery.
