Mother of C. T. Stranahan Died Here at the Age of 88

Mrs. Mary Ellen Ewing, 88, died yesterday evening at the C. T. Stranahan home where she had lived for the past 12 years. Mrs. Ewing was a member of the Presbyterian church and came to California as a bride in 1858. She moved to Montana in 1880 and to Lewiston in 1915.

She is survived by four sons and two daughters, who are: C. T. Stranahan, Lewiston; C. R. Stranahan, Havre, Mont.; W. S. Stranahan, Emeroy, Mont.; Mrs. C. E. Hosom, Richmond Beach, Wash., and Mrs. E. Morrow, San Jacinto, Cal.

The remains will be taken to Martinez, Cal., for burial in the family plot. The funeral will be held from the Vassar chapel at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon.
